Peter Mayhew Instagram – Today Maya celebrates the end of her chemotherapy treatment. Maya is just five years old but she has been fighting Stage 4 Liver Cancer for the last 14 months. Every year in the United States alone over 10,000 children will be diagnosed with cancer. 85% of those children will survive five years or longer after being diagnosed, though the chemotherapy can have lifelong impact on their quality of life and their future. The Peter Mayhew Foundation was proud to help Maya and her family while she fought this brutal illness.
