this song is so so so special to me.
I remember the moment @timfederle told me that I’d be singing it. I’d never heard it before. I thought for sure it was going to be a duet or a song broken into parts. But to my surprise, he’d given me my own solo.
I fell in love with the arrangement from the very first listen. Marco Marinangeli is genius of a musician and turns this orchestration into a living, breathing organism. His use of detail grabs you right at the heart strings and doesn’t let you go.
I had the immense pleasure of recording this (and the mob song) on my birthday last year. After I finished, they brought in a cake and sang to me. It was such a special day and such a special moment and it’s one i’ll always treasure.
I am so proud to be a part of this show. I am so proud to work for such an astounding company. I am so happy I get to call this gift of an opportunity a job.
