So when the Home Depot Foundation reached out to my daughter Kate and I to share some exciting news on their work with the Girl Scouts of the USA to help introduce young women to the skilled trades – we were excited to show our support.
As part of the partnership, the Foundation is hosting construction workshops in three cities (Houston, Denver, and Atlanta) with local troops in the community. Through its Path to Pro program, The Home Depot Foundation has committed $50 million to train the next generation of skilled tradespeople, diversify the trades industry, and address the growing labor shortage in the U.S. How amazing is that?!
