What a pleasure to join @robinrobertsgma on a tour of beautiful Accra – celebrating a thriving modern Africa and seeing the connection #BlackPanther’s Wakanda has to real life African innovators. From meeting with Ghana’s Second Lady Her Excellency Samira Bawumia (@sbawumia) in Black Star Square to visiting important historical and cultural sites to bringing Robin to visit one of my fashion designer favorites, @aisha_ayensu, Founder and Creative Director of @christiebrowngh – not to mention getting a taste of the globally decorated @chef_binta’s culinary excellence with some flavorful jollof rice @dineonamat – this was an exceptional experience.

I would also like to introduce you to a piece of Africa’s future: David Alabo (@davidalabo) – Afro-futurist/surrealist, digital artist, and activist – along with the amazing @freedomskateparkgh. I was floored by his work, his passion, and his vision. Get to know this young man and this incredible project.

Last but not least, I’m amazed by the entrepreneurial, techie brilliance that is Baboa Tachie-Menson (@_baboa). The work she is doing with @balm.labs creates sustainability in the fashion space and inspires other women in tech around the world to make their mark.
