Dia Mirza Instagram – I love this line by author Diana Gabaldon, Babies are soft, but from the very start, there’s that small streak of steel within each child, that thing that says, I am and forms the core of personality. As the mother of a little preemie warrior, I’m well aware of this fragility and also of that unmistakable streak of steel. Every newborn baby deserves to be protected, cherished, and kept safe, but a preemie comes with very specific sets of challenges. When our son was born prematurely it was almost impossible to find weight-appropriate safe clothing in nontoxic soothing materials. One of the things that I discovered while doing research was that a lot of nonorganic cotton garments available for infants have synthetics laced with almost 8000 chemicals.
