Esmé Bianco Instagram – Sharing this piece is one of the most intensely vulnerable things I’ve ever done. I’ve been working it and trying to wrangle it into something more poetic and I finally decided that it’s raw imperfection is actually exactly what needs to be shared. I’ve been putting it off for a while but it’s time to put that fear behind me. So here it is

I wrote this piece at the darkest point of my life, and I’m sharing it for those of you who have been there, or are there right now. I waded through it, and scraped, crawled and hauled my way out of it. And now I’m ok. Actually, I’m more than ok. I’m bursting back into life.

I hope that by sharing this one person feels seen, and even slightly less alone.

And it would be remiss of me not to thank the @crisistextline who were there for me on that particularly dark day. They do incredible, life saving work 🙏🏻
