Gigi Levangie Instagram – New edition of #thatporchlifetho. I know my Hollywood High education was lacking – and I didn’t make up for it in college (majored in poli sci – why? Same conflicts, different year.) But how have I lived almost six decades without reading Anita Brookner – and her Booker PrIze winning novel “Hotel du Lac”? Especially as the novel is about…a female novelist with commitment issues. Someone who finds the writing world preferable to the real one (and she didn’t even live in the TikTok era!) Anyway, I forgive you for not telling me about this slim gem of a novel – but I have to ask – what else are you hiding from me? (Oh, and I picked this up in an airport bookstore in Edinburgh – I do so love a good airport bookstore, don’t you?) And a jovial Alexander Dumas on a postcard to use as a bookmark?
