Jessica M. Thompson Instagram – The courage of the Iranian girls and women who are fighting for their freedom against a violent, oppressive and tyrannical regime has stirred me. I don’t know if I could ever be as brave as they are… I hope I never have to find out… Their strength is fueled by anger, outrage, desperation over the murder of Mahsa Amini, and the many other women who were simply exercising their basic human right to exist and express themselves. The fear that any one of these women could be killed next is what drives them to burn their hijabs, cut their hair and to look their oppressor in the eye and say “enough”.
Mahsa, your death will not be in vein.
I stand in solidarity with the women of Iran.
Keep fighting. Stay brave.
