To quote Ruth Bader Ginsburg — “Women belong in all places where decisions are being made. It shouldn’t be that women are the exception.”
Since the very beginning, the world has undermined the power of women. We’ve been shunned and silenced, but thanks to the scarifies and tenacity of so many selfless women, we are in a place today where we can come together and work collectively to right the wrongs. This was a key take away from the conversation I had the honour to moderate with @vp, Kamala Harris at the Women’s Leadership Forum conference in Washington DC last night.
Over the last two years, humanity has experienced some of the biggest challenges that we will see in our lifetime. We are faced with an urgent need for stability and progress, and for America that starts at the polls on November 8th. Everyone has a role to play towards that… to be part of the civic process and to exercise the right to vote, especially women because we need to be actively involved in ensuring our rights are being taken care of.
While I don’t vote in this country – my husband can and one day, my daughter will. My conversation with VP Harris centred around the most pressing issues, that, in order to be addressed, needs to have a clear vision and plan.
Thank you to the WLF and Secretary Hillary Clinton, a founding force in establishing this organization, and for including me in these important conversations, among an incredible collection of accomplished women. Washington, DC

Passionate, empathetic, relentless… in pursuit of the greater good. This best describes the Changemakers being honored by @variety and Lifetime.
Featuring stories of inspiration, optimism, and hope, Variety and Lifetime’s Power of Women: The Changemakers honors the women who are turning their ideas to bring a positive change into reality.
I had the honor of bringing to light Yuliia Hudz, Education Consultant, and Viktoriia Gnap of the Unbreakable Ukraine Foundation, key partners in @unicef’s on the ground efforts for Ukrainian refugees in Poland. I have seen firsthand the true impact of the work that they have been doing since the start of this crisis. Their passion is infectious, and their humanity is undeniable.
These amazing women stand alongside other incredible changemakers who have overcome adversity and dedicated their lives to making the world a better place through frontline work on important social issues… Karen Earle for Jenesse Center, Bianca Johnson for the Misty Copeland Foundation, Shay Huffman for New York City Gay and Lesbian Anti-Violence Project, Torya Beard and Ayodele Casel for A BroaderWay, Shannon Watts and Melody McFadden for Everytown for Gun Safety, and Angela Lerche and Brooklyn Molden for Firework Foundation.
Don’t miss the one hour special airing on Lifetime at 10 p.m. ET/PT TODAY!
Women in Iran and around the world are standing up and raising their voices, publicly cutting their hair and many other forms of protest for Mahsa Amini, whose young life was taken away so brutally by the Iranian Morality Police for wearing her hijab ‘improperly’. The voices that speak after ages of forced silence, will rightfully burst like a volcano! And they will not and MUST not be stemmed.
I am in awe of your courage and your purpose. It is not easy to risk your life, literally, to challenge the patriarchal establishment and fight for your rights. But, you are courageous women doing this every day regardless of the cost to yourselves.
To ensure that this movement will have a lasting effect, we must hear their call, understand the issues and then join in with our collective voices. We must also get everyone who can influence others to join as well. Numbers matter.
Add your voice to this critical movement. Stay informed and be vocal, so these voices can no longer be forced to stay silent.
I stand with you. Jin, jiyan , azaadi… Women, life, freedom.

Being in a room full of passionate advocates for children’s rights has always been so inspiring to me.✨ We gathered today to discuss prioritizing parenting support for the world’s children — steps towards building a better future for all.
Traveling the world as a @unicef Ambassador, I have met hundreds of children who have been forced to leave home. Seeing this firsthand is a reminder that we should continue to amplify and advocate every chance that we get.
I hope this video inspires you to join us in fighting for all children worldwide. #earlymomentsmatter
