About Our Guests: Renee O’Connor – After playing the role of Gabrielle, in Xena: Warrior Princess from 1996-2001, Renee launched her own company, ROC Productions, and began producing and/or directing short films, web series, and her second feature film, Watch The Sky. While raising her two children in Los Angeles with her husband, Jed, Renee occasionally starred in several independent films for companies such as Ghost House Pictures, The ScyFy Channel, Pathlight Entertainment, and Silver Lining Entertainment. In addition to her film and television roles, Renee has continued crafting her passions for both acting and directing by working with theater groups including ENCORE Theatre Group, Shakespeare By The Sea, Little Fish Theater, and the Southern Shakespeare Company in Tallahassee, Florida. In October 2019, Renee started the House of Bards Theatre Company, producing an intimate and intense version of Macbeth, at the Grand Annex, with visionary director, Michael Richey. Over the following two years, Renee directed the Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast on the stage for ENCORE, traveled to New Zealand to work with Lucy Lawless, and produced a podcast about the late 1960’s to early 1970’s music and art scene of Austin, Texas, called Austin Sounds.
