Today, October 11, marks the #DayoftheGirl. I stand with @plancanada and @biaagcan to honor the young girls all over the world who are mobilizing against discrimination and oppression, highly invested in their communities and committed to social change. Plan International Canada is committed to children’s rights and equality for girls. They believe in the fundamental right of girls and young women to have a voice, participate in decisions affecting their lives and be heard by all stakeholders – including government and community leaders. Today I stand in awe of the girls in the world who are currently demonstrating more bravery and resilience than I could ever imagine. Your fortitude is an inspiration. 🙏🏻❤️
