![Baz Luhrmann Instagram – I’m incredibly proud of Mandy Walker, who just won the coveted Audience Award at @camerimage.festival From inventing actual lens to match each of the periods to the genius of hiding our cameras in the period prop cameras and teaching her entire crew to dance and move with the music (and Austin) there was nothing that Mandy couldn’t do. Beginning the work, even from the audition process Mandy is a true partner to all and a bold artist and team leader. I was shocked to learn that only around 5% of all DPs are women. Like I said to all the young people that Mandy and I had the pleasure of spending a masterclass with, it’s up to them and indeed all of us to change that!
