i’ve had trichotillomania since 6th grade. that’s the biggest reason i shaved my head. i had a lot of insecurity connected to my hair, about it not being perfect all the time, scared people would see that i had bald spots and sores on my scalp. i was so full of shame about it. i pulled out my eyelashes, eventually plucked them too.
