17 today and still making my heart sing ❤️

On this day, 20 years ago, I drove through the gates of Channel Nine Willoughby for the first time, feeling like I’d won the lottery. Greeted by chance in the car park by the late, great Peter Harvey, little did he realise I was in a state of awe, as he ushered me to the newsroom, warmly chatting along the way! It was there I was immersed in an environment of excellence. Reporters, producers, editors, directors, technicians, engineers, artists, executives – all of the highest calibre. The inimitable & legendary Brian Henderson took me under his wing and I lapped up every nugget of direction. Never did I dare dream of the opportunities I’ve been afforded – weather presenting, reading Qantas, morning, late, & 6pm news bulletins, Today Show as well as feature reporting. The unexpected gift has been my Nine colleagues, many of whom are lifelong friends. I am deeply grateful to Nine for taking a chance on me (particularly with a questionable fringe!)and providing me with this wild and wonderful ride!#20years
