Bittersweet day. Today was a wrap on Bella & Candy Crush showing together as a team. It’s time for Bella to advance to a horse, and time for Candy to teach another young rider how to fly. We own him and will make sure he’s always in the best care, loved, and spoiled. Bella ended on a good note winning Overall Champion for her middle school and the high school in the freshman division. Bella & Candy Crush blew me away this week with their calmness & focus at the USHJA National Championships in Las Vegas! Competing in the largest division (did you see my previous post?) of the entire show. Bella brought home a 3rd, 4th, 8th, and 9th ribbon, and I couldn’t be more proud of this team. This was a huge achievement for Bella. Most of you only see the success on my posts vs. the struggles and the blood, sweat & tears. Bella and I have learned so much in the show world, and we look forward to learning even more if this is what Bella continues to strive for. Time to relax and celebrate the holidays! Gucci~ she doesn’t trust strangers. She marks all over the house including dog bowls and beds. She can be quite aggressive during playtime with the other dogs, and her jealousy is real. She hunts for wild bunnies not to eat but to kill. I think she genuinely regrets it afterwards. She is the only dog I’ve ever known to want to heal another when one is sad or sick because she knows… she loves like no other. We love you Gucci. Expensive, but loved. #stray #rescue ❤️💚
