I am so sad you’ve gone. You were the funniest, sweetest man. I’m so grateful for the time I got to spend with you. I count myself lucky to have been able to witness your comedic brilliance, the power of which I was not prepared for. I ruined more takes with you than I ever have in my career, you made me laugh so hard. People had warned me about you, that you might be a bit brusque and that I shouldn’t expect for us to get along. How wrong they were. You were one of my favorites by far. Now as an adult, I have such a different and more powerful appreciation for the grown ups who made a hard job easier, who treated me with such kindness and respect, who shared wisdom that’s sewn into my soul, and have given me memories I will never forget and visit often with fondness.
