Zoya Afroz Instagram – “There is beauty in simplicity” – ✨Revealing My National costume ✨ The inspiration for the national costume comes from 19th century INDIA paintings … these royal figures often were draped in translucent silk and were more often draped along with jewellery made of pearls . Taking inspiration from these elements we created a national costume that is ethereal and other worldly . These Mughal era paintings depict elegance which has been translated in the pre draped saree made entirely of silk organza and hand embroidery of pearls and mirror work . Traditional Indian costumes are often given the stereotype of bright colours but there is an era where importance was given to simplicity and elegance .
