Jankee Parekh Instagram – Mumma & Sufi can’t believe we are catching a flight to a place which is NOT Goa.
Jankee Parekh Instagram – Sometime in August, Mallika aunty (CPAA) called me to request if Jankee and I could put up a show for the kids fighting cancer and give them some moments of joy & hope to hold on too whilst they continue to battle for a shot at life, itself! Little did we realise that it was her way of giving us and everyone in that room a chance of reaffirming why we do what we do in the first place… This day was nothing short of pure bliss. We danced, we laughed, we sang, there were tears and we found unbridled JOY ❤️ Jankee and I have only gratitude and immense love for every artist and human who showed up with all their hearts & being and made that day at the Sion Hospital Auditorium, a day which will forever be etched in our hearts. We share this publicly only so that MORE of you see the beautiful work which @cpaaindia is doing to help these little champions and if there’s any way you’d like to contribute to their cause, please reach out. If you are an artist or a performer and would like to come play to these beautiful kids next year, please reach out. Aren’t we all just vessels of HOPE & love.. the vessels may come and go but the empathy and love must continue to flow.. ❤️ Only love for my dear friend, @rishabhshah2012 who runs a beautiful organisation called @iimunofficial for taking this cause up at the very first instance I made that call to him. To Anjani and the beautiful young future leaders at IIMUN for being the backbone of the afternoon. To the legend @lesleelewisofficial, it was a sight to see him so beautifully reach out and embrace each kid with his compassion and songs! To Sheetal @clownselors for bringing the house down with her pursuit of happyness, the super enthusiastic crew at Ace Dance Group, the magical Akashaya and the mellifluous @kavyajonesofficial My brother @alekhsangal who is always there with his ever expansive heart and makes everything joyous and celebration worthy.
