Murphy Instagram – This was a fun one An Klondike or Dominion Creek…so here’s the story…Dathai Keane noticed in a photo that The Klondike looked like Connemara in the summer.Not in the winter obviously as it’s covered in snow.He wanted to do a story about brothers from the west of Ireland ,speaking Gaelic,going to the Klondike Gold Rush.My mother’s uncles went.So they built a western town like Dawson City in Connemara and shot this show there.It was a huge success and won many awards.Myself and Duane Howard from The Revenant played a couple of unsavory characters.I was housed in a cottage on the side of a hill between Oughterard and Clifden.I’d walk in the rain in the morning crossing streams,passing sheep and cattle,having a cup of tea with the local farmer talking about cutting turf.Then I’d go to work. @dathai_keane @duanee_howard @tg4tv #therevenant #anklondike #dominioncreek ☘️☘️☘️
