Chrissie Hynde Instagram – Hi All!

Suffering here being off the road. Going to try to map out some touring for next year soon.
 More UK and Europe.

We’ve spent most of our touring life in the States…. never even been to Poland! It’s been years since we’ve been to France and Spain and Germany and Italy and Scandinavia, Holland. Belgium.
I ❤️ Belgium. One of the reasons we got in a band was to see the world. Stick to the plan!

And we have a new album coming out, Relentless. For some reason which I don’t quite understand, it takes ages to get an album out these days, ie: waiting for vinyl factories. I’m not even sure if we have a record deal. I’ll have to ask my management if I remember.
But no point waiting around for a new record before we hit the road.

As I explained in my last post, we’re going to have to go into bigger venues or else it’s straight to the poor house. As long as we break even I’ll be happy. I’ve never liked arenas and I loathe stadiums as I’ve said many times. Stadiums are for sports.
2000 capacity is Optimus!
I’m not sure if Optimus is a word but you get my drift.

Chrissie Hynde Instagram – Hi everyone that came to our recent shows in the UK.
We all thought it was the most fun tour we’ve done. Fantastic venues. Perfect really. I could see everyone, and not one person shouted out for a ‘greatest hit’.
To be honest It was a big money loser because we were staying in decent hotels, had monitors and front of house sound, and we took trains. You see, playing to 200 people at £30 a head isn’t possible unless we hump are own gear, travel in the van, and stay in dives. Therefore for our next tour we’ll probably have to increase the capacity to about 1000 people to break even. We did this tour just so we could have an absolute ball which we did. Thank you, thank you, thank you for coming up to see us! Great towns – great audiences – great fun.
Exactly what a rock ‘n’ roll gig supposed to be.

Our first gig of the tour – Hebden Bridge.
