Whilst I have been extremely fortunate to work with resort islands, exploring a local natural island was a new experience of raw, natural beauty. It opened my eyes that one can live a beautiful life on the local islands, spending weeks living in guest houses which are a home from home. Hosts such as @mohamed.afeef made us feel that we were family. A trip to the Maldives is not just for honeymooners but is also there for solo travellers and families. Local islands provide the opportunity to live amongst the beautiful community whilst embracing the natural beauty of the island.
