Hillary Clinton Instagram – Yesterday at @georgetown_wps we held a celebration of five women who are working to ensure that each generation is born into a better world than the one before. They’re contributing by defending Ukraine, protecting democracy, encouraging women’s meaningful participation in the peacebuilding process, or addressing sexual violence in conflict zones.⁣ ⁣ @OlenaZelenska_official, First Lady of Ukraine, has been a forceful advocate against Russia’s barbaric invasion of her country, and a relentless champion of her determined people.⁣ ⁣ Nobel Prize winner @avalaina_ua’s organization, the Centre for Civil Liberties, works to document the sexual violence of Russia’s war so that perpetrators can be prosecuted.⁣ ⁣ Natalia Karbowska leads the Ukrainian Women’s Fund, which brings critical resources to women’s organizations on the front lines of the conflict.⁣ ⁣ Kateryna Levchenko is Ukraine’s Governmental Commissioner for Gender Policy, coordinating and monitoring gender policy across ministries.⁣ ⁣ Finally, Her Royal Highness, the Countess of Wessex, has traveled to some of the touchest conflicts zones to meet with survivors and played a pivotal role in her country’s initiative to rally global action to end sexual violence in armed conflict.⁣ ⁣ I hope you’ll join me in feeling filled with hope for the future because of their example and more committed than ever to fighting for the safety of women and girls. #HRCAwards⁣ ⁣ Photos: @GeorgetownUniversity
