Jurnee Smollett Instagram – Malcolm X was released 30 years ago today, November 18th, 1992. Truly one of the greatest films of all time. The first film I saw in the cinemas (or was it Lion King? Lol. Not sure.)…my mother took us all to see it, regardless of age because she wanted us to bare witness to our history. I don’t know that a performance has inspired me more than this one of the great Denzel Washington directed by the masterful @officialspikelee. One of the greatest privileges of my life was learning from Denzel when he directed me in #TheGreatDebaters.
