Karimah Westbrook Instagram – Reposting this because in my excitement, I missed one of the most important parts sharing it the first time. When I first met the director of this film, @scottyfelix, he told me what inspired him to write it and how he thought it would be really cool if it were nominated for an Oscar and his team shared the same sentiments. It’s inspiring to see how those dreams have manifested with the film now qualifying for a nomination. I wanted to share this part of the story because it reminded me of how all things are possible. This is Scotty’s first film that he’s directed. He had passion, goals and intensions, he planned and worked for it and those things have and are coming to life. I hope this story inspires and encourages someone to continue to believe in their dreams or to just go for it. No matter how big the dream may seem.
