One of my biggest challenges in pregnancy was insomnia.
Yes, many moms-to-be face trouble sleeping when growing a baby in their uterus .
These tips can be used for general sleeping trouble too.
1. Cut out caffeinated drinks like soda, tea, coffee from your diet as much as possible, especially after evening.
2. Keep your phone away at least 30 mins before you go to bed.
3. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time each day.
4. Avoid drinking a lot of fluids or eating a full meal just before going to bed If nausea keeps you up, try eating a few salted biscuits before you go to bed.
5. Avoid exercise right before you go to bed. Instead, do something relaxing, like reading a book or having a warm, caffeine-free drink.
6. Do light stretching of calf muscles before sleeping to keep leg cramps at bay. Also, make sure that youāre getting enough calcium and magnesium in your diet.
7. Take a yoga class or learn other relaxation techniques to help you unwind after a busy day.
8. If fear and anxiety about child birth keeps you awake, consider enrolling in a childbirth class or parenting class. Consider joining online pregnancy groups.The company of other pregnant women helps.
š“ What If you Still Canāt Sleep? š“
Of course, there will be times when you just canāt sleep.
Instead of tossing and turning, get up and do something calming, like read a book, listen to music, or browse a magazine, no gadgets though. Eventually, youāll probably feel tired enough to get back to sleep.
And if possible, take short naps (30-60 minutes) during the day. Naps can help you have energy to get through the day and give your body the rest it needs.
Do share it with a pregnant woman, or on your stories.
Save it if you are planning pregnancy.

So it was sunday early morning when I was tested positive š¤š»Initially I thought I should let him work first and will tell him once he will be free but I couldn’t control myself š„¹… I immediately went towards his side and rest you can watch the video. It was a long video with lots of hahah hehehe, shock, surprise, a kind of fear thinking about future and lot more but I just wanted to show his first ever reaction and obviously that was filled with happiness and later with a lot of laughter. ā¤ļøā¤ļø

These myths can make a pregnancy very difficult and even cause complications later. So, let’s bust these myths :
Which myths would vou want to add to this list?
Myth 1 : You can’t have tea/coffee when pregnant
Women can safely have tea/coffee in moderation (1-2 cups a day).
More than 200ml of caffeine a day can increase your risk of a miscarriage since caffeine can penetrate the placenta barrier, so be careful not to exceed your limit.
Myth 2 : Eat for two
In fact, overeating can result in maternal weight gain and child obesity. Your baby will get everything they need from you for the first six months without you needing any extra calories. Once you get to the last trimester, you may need about 200 extra calories (on top of the 2,000 daily recommendation), per day.
Myth 3: You should not travel when pregnant
It is ok to fly or take a car ride during pregnancy. However, you’ll feel the most comfortable in the second trimester. When traveling by car, limit the drive to no more than 5 to 6 hours. While driving or flying, be sure to walk and stretch every couple of hours. You should also drink enough water to stay hydrated.
Myth 4: Do not exercise when pregnant
Exercising is good for you, your baby’s health, and your mental health. Just avoid any new, strenuous activities like jumping, bouncing, and sudden jerk motions, advanced abdominal moves, and hot environments like hot yoga. Aim for 30 minutes of physical activity for at least five days of the week (or a total of 150 minutes per week), all throughout your pregnancy.
Myth 5: Morning sickness is just a morning thing
Nausea (and/or vomiting) during pregnancy can occur at any time of day, due to changes in your hormones. For most women, it’s more common in the morning and begins to improve after 3 months. But for some women, it’s different.
