Victoria Pendleton Instagram – I was offered an opportunity to visit AlUla I had no idea what expect, they said it would be actioned packed… how could I resist.
I explored the desert canyons on horseback, it felt very nostalgic to ride the majestic and spirited Arabian horses, their breeding remains deeply entwined in the culture and nomadic heritage…. I kept my heels firmly down.

I also got to mountain bike through some trails in Gharameel it looked like a scene from another planet and spectacular in pastel hues as the sun was setting.

Following that I wrapped up warm and settled into a camp to experience the most breathtaking stargazing.

I was also given an opportunity to participate in some planting at the nature reserve to help re-establish the ecosystem for the hopeful reintroduction of native mammals, I offered to plant more, they were surprised with my enthusiasm… not many people know I like a bit of horticulture.
