Jankee Parekh Instagram – Travelling with a toddler on a long flight may sometimes get quite challenging for a parent & the toddler. When we decided to travel with @babysufim to the England, I casually had a chat about it with his Montessori head @khushbu85 from @vedamontessori and a day prior to our travel she handed me this magic kit which was so wonderful that i had to share it here. Besides this kit, we also carried many other items in the suitcase like a manipulation activity, sorting activity, colour dough, a slate/chalk and duster, puzzles to mention a few. I must mention that all of this took up very little hand baggage space. Khushbu aunty, thank you for all your tips and advice to make Sufi’s trip so smooth and easy and also so much fun. Ever since I have observed some amazing progress of Sufi at school, I have been reading up a lot on the montessori way of living and the more I read the more I am convinced that it is such a great way to build a strong foundation for a baby. Montessori starts at birth. Although I didn’t know much about it initially, I have now begun to apply a lot of it at home by creating a space and environment for him which makes him do things in his practical life much more independently.
