I made the original music for Easy to Sabotage in a hotel room in Chicago during the National’s Easy to Find tour in 2019. And BRM jammed this song… which is built around a riff that is fun to play over and over… multiple times in 2019. We recorded the performances at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn and the Hollywood Palladium and I was able to combine the bootlegs with studio recordings to make this song, sort of like a latter day Grayfolded. @naeemjuwan later added his incredible verses which somehow feel like they were always meant to be woven with @blobtower’s live vocals. @james_krivchenia, @jt_bates_ and @jasontreuting all contribute drumming and @arsononly added processing. Easy to Sabotage reminds me of the exhilaration and freedom of performing BRM songs live, which hopefully we will get to do next year some.
