Where they will be heard, seen, and respected. Hospital birth has been incredibly traumatizing to many people, and thus they seek to avoid it in subsequent pregnancies. While there are absolutely amazing hospital-based providers out there, they are not present in every community. Hospital VBAC is not available in every community.
