Eric Arndt Instagram – I started free-styling with my best friend @stayh3a1y in the back of the high school basketball team bus to & from games freshman year of High school. J. Heals was the best hooper I grew up with, hands down. When the Harlem Wizards (fake ass Harlem Globetrotters,) came to play an exhibition game at my high school my senior year, they challenged “the two best players” in my high school assembly to an impromptu game. The crazy thing about it was, by that time, my man J. Heals didn’t play ball for the High School. But my whole school chanted “Healy-A-trayn!” Calling for he & my boy Arnaldo (who just got out of Juvie, neither of which played for my school.) Much to the dismay of our high school b-ball coach, (vying for one of his guys to represent the school,) my man J-Heals & “A-Trayn” took the court to represent Waldwick High School against The Harlem Wizards. Arnaldo’s last game was in jail, & my man Healy hated our coach & only played on the block, (Heals was the biggest Reggie Miller fan who ever lived refused to play team sports & only shot 3’s,) So in front of the entire school, the Harlem Wizard’s two representatives are ready to play J.Healy & A-Trayn, (who are both High AF coming into an 8th period Assembly.) One of the Wizards check’s rock to J. Heals. In 1/10th of a second Healy who bounced the ball “Off the Heezy,” Homey Wizard’s looked stupid af, Healy caught the ball off his forehead, shoots it, holds his flicked wrist high in the air turns around with the confidence: SWISH.
The whole high school lost their fucking shit. The Wizard was shook. He checks the ball again, the whole school is chanting for my man Healy & both Wizards forgot about A-Trayn. Healy shakes past the Wizard, drives to the hoop, draws both defenders near, he dishes the rock to Arnaldo (who didn’t even lace his timbs,) A-TRAYN OLLEY-OOP!! Waldwick Warriors: 3. Harlem Wizards: 0! Before MySpace, Facebook, IG, my man Healy went viral in the minds of an entire High School with a memory that will last a life time.
It’s still 🖕🏼 the pacers.
