Rickey Brown Instagram – Life’s a trip, man! @kevinmiles and I met 8 years ago at a DirecTv audition (I booked it lmao) but Kev and I instantly bonded in that waiting room. I was fresh off of being the Subway Spokesperson and I was starting to crossover and book tv/movies etc. Kev would always want to pick my brain about the business and what I did in the room. He would call me “The Guru” No cap lol We started hanging out all the time. Goin to laser tag, game nights, and even creating our own little skits together. We were damn near inseparable. But the thing that really drew us closer more than anything was our thirst for success/greatness!! We would have countless conversations on his couch and mines until 6am about where we will be and what we will become if we kept grinding like we were. Now we’re on State Farm’s Couch doin what we said we would! SHIT CRAZY LOL I say all of this to say: The people you interact with in these classes, auditions, on set, or a damn mixer can be apart of your tribe. Don’t shy away from meeting new people! If y’all click and share common interest, explore that! Fun Fact: I auditioned for Jake From State Farm, obviously didn’t get it. (I guess he gets the last laugh lol) But when this audition came around I told Kev and he put the alley hoop in for me at the callback🙏🏾 BECAUSE HE KNOWS AND EVERYBODY IN OUR CREW KNOWS THAT IF ONE WINS WE ALL GONE WIN!! YOU’RE ONLY AS SUCCESSFUL AS THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU! AND WE SOME SUCCESSFUL MFS💪🏾💪🏾FIND YOUR TRIBE AND BUILD WITH THEM!!!
