Changed coasts and released The Absurdity of Human Existence this year. Thanks to everyone who listened. 🤙 Happy 2022! 📷: @shaedetar
What a year it’s been. The first half was focused mostly on Synth History, my side project dedicated to synths. Got to interview some of my heroes for my ‘zine, like Trent Reznor, Fatboy Slim, Jean-Michel Jarre, John Carpenter, etc. 🤯 Threw a pop-up in Los Angeles at the Vintage Synth Museum, with too many sponsors and friends to name. Collab’d on some shirts with my friend Hagop (Director Fits) and met a lot of you in person at the pop-up. Then got to tour Europe with the incredible TV Girl, who are amazing people. And was lucky enough to have my partner in crime Matt join me for the ride along with my friends Jane and Armen who helped get things done. Saw places I’ve only seen in movies. I got my passport in my 20s and being able to see Europe was always a far away dream, so that was cool. I appreciate everyone heading to the shows early to see my set and especially thank you to all the new fanz. Dyed my hair green again. Made a song about cars (currently working on a German version), had my friend Cody remix a tune, released the score for a short film that made it into Sundance earlier in the year (While Mortals Sleep – directed by Alex Fofonoff) and am working on a new EP. It’s been fun, it’s been fast, and I’m excited for 2023! -Danz

I’m happy to report that my dad is recovering! Sorry I’ve been MIA. Been at hospitals with him for a whole month! After kidney failure, then PRES syndrome and a slew of other health related issues, it’s been a journey. We got him an iPad so we can FaceTime for the first time in his life. He is happy. Special thanks to @texmextexmextexmex for being the most supportive partner ever, all my friends who have been there and to @laurenhellrell for being a kick-ass doctor to guide me along the way. It’s tough being an only child advocating for your single parents’ health! But someone has got to do it. We’re extremely lucky. Love ya pop. 💪❤️ P.S. Next post is updated tour info!

Excited to announce a short film I scored, While Mortals Sleep, is premiering at the @sundanceorg 2022 film festival! This is my first film score – just want to thank @videohorsefilms & director Alex Fofonoff (@la_foaf) for believing in me to make something eerie and spine-chilling. Spent many nights in my little NYC studio apartment scaring myself making it. OST is out Jan 21st via @channel9records. Printing a limited run of 500 cassettes. Pre-order in bio. So excited for you to see the movie and hear the score! 🖤
