It’s not just Happy Anniversary to my husband, the love of my life, the best taco chef, an excellent puzzle partner, an absolute kick ass father, the person I turn to when I need to add numbers, my acting coach, scene partner, camera operator for these f@cking self tapes, my Netflix & chill buddy, my forever plus one, the President of my fan club, Captain of my spirit squad and so much more…
It’s also Happy Anniversary to this beautiful bunch right here – my family. Marrying into the Degnans has given my parents and I blessings beyond our dreams. It’s not lost on me how rare and special it is to truly, I mean TRULY love and adore one’s in-laws. To call someone else’s parents, “mom” and “dad,” and to have a partner who refers to my parents in the same way is a beautiful feeling. To have siblings in Kathleen, Matt, Steve and now Sarah and to have little ones, born since this picture to share holidays with their cousin, our little Tommy, makes my heart soar.
When I think back on this day, I still am amazed at the love that was beamed into us, stronger than the sun’s rays. That love has fortified us through six years of challenges we could never have imagined. As we continue to turn a corner into brighter days, I am filled with gratitude for the people in this picture, with whom Tom and I share this special day.
