Evelyn Edwards Instagram – Lacock Abbey was heavily featured in Harry Potter…but waaaaaay before that is was a Nunnery for 300 years until the dissolution of Monasteries under Henry VIII. After the dissolutions Henry either kept the property for himself, gave to someone or sold the land and structures to make a profit. Lacock Abbey was sold and the owners converted it to a residence. .
