Jade Tailor Instagram – Happy Winter Solstice everyone ❄️ This time of year we are often told to rush to complete all that we did not finish in the past year, preparing for the year ahead. Though the changing of the tides and this wintery season is desiring the antithesis. It is calling for us to slow down. This is a time of reflection and pause, a time where we allow the seeds we have planted to hibernate only to be birthed anew when the sun comes once again in the new year. I love the correlation between nature and the self for it is a time where Mother Nature lay dormant and takes pause. Therefore it is a time for us to take pause, to reassess, and recalibrate all that we have learned, grown in, and created in order to assess where we are going and what we may create next. That said, something I have learned as of late… it is okay to slow down! In fact it is necessary in order to allow for new growth and expansion just as it does in nature.
My dearest friend @nataliemacneil said recently, “I’m going to end the year soft,” as opposed to hard. I too am choosing to end it soft. With so many changes, hardships the world has faced, and so many ups and downs… I can’t think of a better way to honor this year and the self than to do it softly with grace, ease, love and compassion for all that you have gone through, and all that you are. No matter what you have done or didn’t do, I am here to tell you that you don’t need to do a thing to deserve love, compassion, and ease. Each and everyone of us deserves that. So I hope that you gift yourself with some love and self honoring this holiday season and beyond. I’m sending it to you too 🙌🏽✨🫶🏽
