Nandita Das Instagram – This morning my mother and I were at the Sabarmati Ashram. Perfect place to be on the new year. it was the release of a book on Mahadev Desai. So much of what we know about Gandhi is thanks to his personal secretary, frontline reporter and confidant, Mahadevbhai. They were inseparable for the 25 years he was with Gandhi. Such a privilege to listen to the author Nachiketa Desai about his grandfather. The other experts also shed light on the role Mahadevbhai played in chronicling those times.

Nandita Das Instagram – I did a photoshoot after years. Even though being photographed is an occupational hazard and I have been subjected to it for over 25 years, I still don’t like it! But this one I did for my love of genuine heritage saris and for @meerakumar75 . It was a fun evening! Will share the images once I get them.
