Niousha Noor Instagram – ‼️ In just a few days, @shervinine ‘s video garnered more than 30 million views. Based on the 1000s of tweets Iranians have written on what they are fighting for, the song broke our hearts (and the internet) for it so beautifully captured the collective pain, sadness and trauma many Iranians have felt for decades.
I was 11 when I left Iran, and each tweet/verse hits so hard and breaks me down. I can’t imagine what my family and Iranians inside Iran feel when hearing it.
The latest news is that he has now been arrested… they forced him to delete the post on his page, but thanks to social media the song will live on forever.
This is just the beginning of them silencing and intimidating artists, journalists, influencers, lawyers…
This is why WE can’t stop fighting for them. For their voices to be heard. And for their safe returns.
Saturday, October 1st is global protest day for Iran. Please show up and support, wherever you are.
Thank you.

“For”
For dancing in the streets freely
For fear of kissing in public
For my sister
Your sister
Our sisters
For changing rotten minds
For shame
For poverty
For wanting that normal life
For the kid not knowing what a dream is
For corrupt economy
For pollution
For Vali Asr street and it’s sick trees
For the murder of innocent street dogs
For the unstoppable tears
For the students, for their future
For this compulsory heaven
For the elite imprisoned
For the Afghan kids
For all the endless “For”s
For the hollow promises
For the collapse of unsafe homes
For peace
For light at the end of darkness
For the stress pills and insomnia
For man, home, prosperity
For the girl who wished she was a boy
For WOMAN LIFE FREEDOM
💚🤍❤️
