The countdown is on… @netflixmena’s The Exchange will be streaming in the region on February 8. Based on real-life events, the upcoming show is about two women who set out to work at the stock market in Kuwait during the 1980s. Starring actresses @rawan_vii and @monahussainm, the series highlights the challenges the characters face in a male-dominated industry.

تطرح نتفليكس مسلسلها الكويتي الجديد، الصفقة، الذي تدور أحداثه حول سيدتين في سوق البورصة الكويتي الثمانينات.
كانت هذه القصة تناج تعاون يجمع ثلاثة كتّاب، وهم نادية أحمد، والزوجين آن وآدم سوبيل، تقول نادية التي استوحت قصة المسلسل من نضال والدتها في العقود الماضية: “فكرت في هذه القصة عندما كنت أسعى جاهدة لتحديد مصيري، في ظروف مماثلة لظروف فريدة ومنيرة[الشخصيات الرئسية في المسلسل]، عدت بالذاكرة إلى طفولتي ووجدت مثالاً لامرأة قوية الإرادة كان لها الأثر الأكبر على حياتي وهي والدتي، شعرت أن هذه القصة يجب أن تروى لأننا في بعض الأحيان نحتاج إلى أن نتغلب على خوفنا من أن نكون أول من يتجرأ على اقتحام المجهول أو عيش التجارب غير المألوفة”.

But most importantly it’s a tale that reminds you of the consequences of life and how every decision we make has a ripple effect into every area of our being.
