Greetings on #BasantPanchami

Basant Panchami, also known as Vasant Panchami, is celebrated with great pomp and fervor every year to mark the arrival of the spring season. This year it is celebrated on Republic Day, the 26th of January. This day is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati. Hence, many perform Saraswati puja on this day.

In the southern states of India, the festival is celebrated as Sri Panchami. Yagnas are done in schools and colleges to seek Goddess Saraswati to bestow the students with lots of wisdom, learning, and knowledge.

Hindu mythology also states that Lord Rama ate the half tasted grapes by Shabari on Basant Panchami and the day also commemorates this gesture. People also consider the day to be the beginning of life and happiness. The beginning of spring is also celebrated as the season of rebirth.

Shiva promised to resurrect him on Basant Panchami after Rati (his wife) completed a 40-day fast. On this day, the color ‘yellow’ is given importance and is considered auspicious as it represents spring, spiritual knowledge, light and prosperity

मां सरस्वती आपके जीवन में उल्लास भर दे। बसंत पंचमी की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं। 🙏🏻🎶🛕 | Posted on 26/Jan/2023 18:04:18
