The love that my mother & father in law have for each other has grown into the big love we all share. I’m so happy to have sisters like I’ve wished for since I was a little girl & treasure my moments with each of them and their wild bunches 💛
Becoming an auntie to these kids has been one of my greatest joys in life so far. And having lost my own grandparents, it’s been incredibly special to get to be a granddaughter again. When we first called Mammaw to let her know we were engaged, she said in her sweet as Texas tea accent, “well it’s about time Lucas! Shelby, I’ve always thought of you as my granddaughter but I’m glad we’re making it official.” 😭
It was so special to share this day with all of you. From watching the littles color while I was getting my hair & make up done, to my hook and eye coming off my dress and having my mama & mama in law sew a new one on for me. Oh, and forgot to mention our night was interrupted by a few copperhead snakes which were swiftly remedied by my father in law’s cowboy boots and pocket knife 🐍🫣 #texasyall
