Blaine Gibson Instagram – Happy Gotcha Day, Dutch. This marks 3 years with my baby boy. I could write a book about how this dog has improved my life, but instead I’ll tell y’all one of my favorite rituals. Every day at around 6:30 AM, I’ll wake up to Dutch sitting next to the bed. If I don’t wake up from his wagging tail, then he’ll whine softly or sneeze at me. That’s my cue to move over toward’s Cristen’s side so that Dutch can jump into the bed and curl up next to me for another hour or so of sleep. It’s the cutest shit ever.
If any of you are considering getting a pup, do it. I implore you to adopt and not to shop. There are so many dogs out there like Dutch who will give you a lifetime of love in return for a second chance.
