Ennis Esmer Instagram – Say No Go. First song I ever heard by De La Soul and somehow, still my favourite.
It’s just a few bars here but it covers a lot. He’s dry, funny, cool, candid, vulnerable, trenchant… he was one of the best to ever do it, whether he went by yogurt backwards or simply his given name.
He is gone way too soon. He should have been able to see their music reach this generation, this moment. It doesn’t seem fair at all. Love to the members and families of @wearedelasoul.
