Tom Colicchio Instagram – The @mta Subway System is what makes NYC one of the greatest cities in the world. But system redesigns that eliminate routes and late night service effect everyone, especially restaurant workers. Please join @passengersunited for a meeting tomorrow night to voice your concerns about what these proposed changes would mean to you. Link to register in my bio.

We are excited and proud to host our first Brooklyn Bus Network Redesign Meeting this Thursday, January 5th at 7:45 PM EST, virtually. This will be the first meeting of its kind, which will provide a platform for community members to voice their opinions and concerns regarding the Brooklyn Bus Network Redesign publicly.
We have received many complaints from bus riders who are concerned about losing our stops and/or bus service. Under the proposed Brooklyn Bus Network Redesign plan, many passengers would have to make more transfers, pay more than one fare, walk farther to their bus stops, and spend more time traveling the same commutes they make now.
The plan also proposes extreme cuts to express bus service. There would be no more off-peak express bus service, which includes nights, weekends, and weekdays in the reverse direction.
For many years, riders have demanded overnight bus service between Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, which this plan does not include. We urge the MTA to add two overnight services: one toward northern Brooklyn and the other toward southern Brooklyn.
This event will take place on Zoom and will be live-streamed on YouTube. We are urging community stakeholders, elected officials and MTA representatives to attend this meeting and listen to the public who they are supposed to serve | Posted on 04/Jan/2023 23:44:14
