Britne Oldford Instagram – Learn to love the process and you’ve won. Why? Because every part of what we do is a process. For example, we encounter the same lesson repeatedly in different, yet similar forms in order to learn until we (hopefully) transcend it and move on to the next one. That’s a process. Albeit annoying a healthy amount of the time for most of us. Either way, that process applies to every aspect of life until we achieve mastery in a particular aspect. But even then we learn, and grow, and shift. The perceived end-goal is actually a springboard for new adventure whether you want to receive or not. It’s there for you. Waiting for you to arrive. And everything continues. This is a very useful prospective shift if you’re able to make it. It’s easy to resist but less fun in the long run. Mark the incremental progress. There is more magic this way and if I’m being honest, that’s all I care about these days anyway. This may all sound overly positive but it isn’t. We don’t always achieve what we want to in this life and that can be heartbreaking. This existence is dense, heavy, and great tragedy will seemingly always be a player in it. However true that reality may be, it is eased by and much more tolerable if we make a choice to walk through the human experience tuning in as best we can to all of the tiny pieces of joy and love when we are able to. When we give ourself permission and space to. Only we have the power to give that to ourselves. The power to tune in the way we did before we knew the struggle and challenge of it all. When it was second nature to us to enjoy the smallest of moments and earthly treasures. It’s a process but it will shift your energy and expand your life in unimaginable ways when you are reminded, in passing, of the incremental progress you have already made on whatever it is you care to put your energy into. This could be something as seemingly insignificant as looking at yourself in the mirror one day and liking the way you smile for the first time in your life. Maybe some of you can relate. Anyway, words from a recovered nihilist. (Me) 🖖🏼 | Posted on 26/Mar/2022 23:55:11
