Catherine Corcoran Instagram – I’ve been struggling with the words for this. Kaleigh was one of those friends who showed up for the people she cared about. It didn’t matter what was going on in her life, or how long it at been since you saw her last- she was there. She supported you. She cared.
Professionally, Kaleigh had this effortless calm and wisdom to her. She reassured you and she looked out for you. It didn’t matter if I was a 19 year old kid, bugging her with questions in her fx shop (quite literally the morgue in a funeral home) or years later when I’d give her a ring because I was in town, visiting. “Let’s get you in for a day or so on this film we’re on,” she’d reply.
She looked out for you, she rooted for you. She showed up.
I spoke to Kaleigh again when I was in town visiting recently. Ever true to nature, she shared enthusiasm, advice and love. She wasn’t able to see me this time. “Better soon.” she said.
People like Kaleigh change you. They remind us of the power of showing up for each other; the power of showing up for ourselves.
