Have you read the book “Last Child In The Woods” by Richard Louv? “Last Child in the Woods” discusses the growing disconnect between children and nature, and the potential consequences of this trend on the physical, mental, and emotional development of young people. The book argues that as children spend more time indoors and less time engaging with the natural world, they may experience a range of negative effects, including obesity, attention disorders, depression, and a diminished sense of creativity and wonder. The book suggests that by fostering a closer relationship between children and nature, parents, educators, and community leaders can help promote healthier and more well-rounded development for the next generation. Louv also advocates for the creation of more green spaces and outdoor educational programs, as well as increased awareness and protection of natural areas.
