✨ 2 0 2 2 Renovated a house, birthed a baby, became a mother… laughed harder than I’ve ever laughed, cried harder than I’ve ever cried, and loved more than I’ve ever loved. My heart is full, and I’m grateful for every second of it.

Today, I say goodbye to my 30s! I think about the woman I was when I entered this decade, and the woman I am now, leaving it… I feel calmer now than I did then, less anxious. My mind doesn’t race as much, and it feels like a lot of things have settled into place. Some of the years were harder than others, but I know one thing for certain, there is nothing I would change. It got me here. I am thankful for all of it. For the surgeon who fixed my back when I was 30, and relieved me of the chronic pain I thought I would have for the rest of my life. For the relationships I’ve had, and for the heartbreak I felt when they ended. For my group of friends who’ve lifted me up when I’ve been down and the years we’ve spent crying/laughing together. (I really have the funniest, smartest, best friends). I’m even thankful for the panic attacks and anxiety. For all the jobs I didn’t get, and also for the ones I did. For every tiny decision I’ve made – turning left when I could have turned right, because it all led me to meeting the man I’d end up marrying. For our wedding, which we had to cancel three times because of a worldwide pandemic, but ended up being exactly right – just us, on top of a mountain in Big Sur. Even for those months locked inside, alone with our thoughts, forcing us to look at our priorities, putting everything into perspective. For all the places I’ve traveled to and (literal) mountains I’ve climbed. For the fact that I’ve learned to be less hard on myself. For buying my first house, and for the 2 years we’ve spent renovating it – 5 months of which were living in a construction site with a newborn… and for all the beautiful things that I never saw coming, that I had no idea were waiting just around the corner…(Continued in comments…)
