Hazen Audel Instagram – I was living alone in a tent down the river in the jungles of Ecuador. One evening I heard a gunshot from a family upriver. I went to investigate and in the tall grass I found a dead hawk that had been shot as it posed a highly unlikely risk of eating their chickens. That night I had a private hawk dinner. My feelings about unnecessary killing have remained strong my entire life. From early childhood, to here at age 19, and still today.
