John John Florence Instagram – It’s an honor to be invited and surf in the Eddie. Ever since I was young this event has felt like one of the biggest moments in surfing when it happens. To share heats and waves with all of the invitees is amazing. So rad to see everyone charging! Congrats Luke for winning, super stoked for you!! A lifeguard winning the Eddie on duty just seems right!! Thank you to Clyde and the whole Aikau family for everything that went into the event. Thank you to the Hawaiian water patrol and all of the lifeguards for looking out for us. We couldn’t do this without you. Can’t wait for the next one!
