Growing up a little goth bogan angsty teen in New Zealand this was my first time seeing RuPaul in the media. I am a huge Nirvana fan and I was obsessed with this photo. I was completely oblivious that In that exact moment she was was forging paths for millions of people to live happier, safer lives. Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine that I would be following in her footsteps and she would go on to tell me she is so proud of me directly to my face before crowning me into her legacy. They call her Mother because that’s exactly who she is. Wishing you the happiest birthday @rupaulofficial if you don’t wanna blow a candle blow whatever you want and nibble on some cakes! As another season of Drag Race ends I just want to send a loving shoutout to my sister, business partner and best friend @anitawiglit You gave some hilarious moments and served charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent in true Wiggles style the entire time. I’m so proud of you sis. Brava!! xx
Dear everyone, It is heartbreaking to admit that I am still going through major surgical complications after massive skin removal surgery in October. I have been in and out of hospital for the past 3 months and about to go in for another surgery tomorrow. I am heartbroken that I cannot attend @rupaulsdragcon to meet all of you fucking amazing people that have come into my life since I won RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under. I pour so much of myself into Drag and I was so excited to hangout with you all and wear some fabulous looks from amazingly talented Aus, NZ and UK designers like @banglondon @hon.atelier @pashion_couture @gridleybyvictoria and @styledbyesther_ As a result of this heartbreaking situation I am left massively out of pocket BUT with a whole lot of fabulous merch packs that were going to be at my Birthday Party themed booth! To try and make some funds while I’ve been off work for the past few months I am selling the limited edition Drag Con Party Bags on my website! While I lay in hospital I am staying positive by counting my blessings. A lot of people know that @anitawiglit and I own and operate @caluzzicabaret but what a lot of people don’t know is that 3 years ago we had the chance to buy another venue called @phoenixvenue with our friend @zarlenemorgan We hit the ground running and turned the place into a thriving entertainment venue that we are SO proud of. I am missing home and the people I love but I am determined to get well and keep building my life, brick by brick. #letsdothis
